Baldwin Shark kit progress.
Posted by Jerry Barnes on Monday, October 8, 2012 5:58 PM

I got the paint on my Baldwin Shark build. Robb Fern, in the UK, offered castings up of it last winter. Uses FA-1 motor blocks. I still need to get on the etched grills/lights/interior/couplers. Now that it is painted, I may be more inspired, plus winter is coming on.

I got the grills on one side of the Shark. Windows cut and installed, Mars light in and the front coupler. Hand rails were painted and also put on, as were the decals. Horns and grill on the other side should finish it up.

I ran the Shark yesterday, with the wood passenger cars I got at a restaurant auction(I put metal wheels on them and D&H decals). All went well, long train, the cars are 30".
