Milwaukee's "Domes" garden train exhibit

The annual garden railroad show at Milwaukee's Mitchell Park "Domes" horticultural gardens

will open soon (Jan 14 to March 18) and I am sure there will be postings about it.  Feb 25-26 will be the big "all scales" train show that coincides with the garden railroad exhibit.

Today's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has a major article about how a significant project at the Domes -- paved walkways rather than the crushed rock of before -- was paid for by the sponsored freight cars in prior years' shows.  The garden railroad train exhibit is I have heard THE biggest single attraction at the Domes all year, so presumably the sponsors get value for their money, too.

Thanks for the info, Dave. Yes, I have heard that it is their largest attraction of the year. If anyone is in the Milwaukee area, I suggest visiting it (and the other two domes exhibits) this attraction. It's a unique, family-friendly venue.
