Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New buildings on this indoor live steam laýout
Posted by Kent & North Wales Light Railway on Sunday, December 18, 2011 11:35 AM

The K&NWLR finally finds time to post some more videos in the forum, including some of the new buildings at the harbour and an attempt to recreate a little bit of Portmeirion in North Wales.

Great space, very nicely done.......when you see those discussions where people ask how much it costs to get started on being a model railroader, don't ever tell  newcomers what you've spent on that beauty of yours so far, they'll run screaming for their lives!

That is a really cool line!  It really captures the feel of narrow gauge lines on the British Isles!

It´s not the newcomers I´m worried about, it´s the current Mrs K&NWLR ...:-)

And it´s tree planting time (indoors) on the K&NWLR, while the snow begins to settle outside ...

Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New video with tree planting and harbour
Posted by Kent & North Wales Light Railway on Thursday, December 29, 2011 12:38 PM

New video of a Regner "Vincent" making its way through Kent, passing the newly planted trees before crossing the bridge to North Wales and following the harbour branch line past the new warehouses, with a view of the village of Portmeirion in the background above the upper loop with new trees too.

I enjoy your little videos and slide shows!

The trees look great!  I especially like the "Weeping" willow in the background at the corner by the stream and the big shaggy barked shade tree!

That puppy likes to play with trains too!  he gives a whimsical touch!

Kent & North Wales Light Railway: A longer video with two locos in steam

This video gives a better view - despite the poor lighting - of the layout as a whole, and is shot from the upper track, catching glimpses of a second train circulating below.

A new Isle of Man 3ft gauge "Peveril" finds its way around the top loop of the K&NWLR, amongst the many trees planted on the Kent side of the layout.

I have gotten to like the looks of the little Peveril!  A nice looking little engine to my way of thinking ... I guess it is the big drive wheels and clean lines.

The trees a re coming along well too!
