I have been using Instant-Care 2+, 2 oz glue for a long time and it works great. The problem is the nozzle gets gummed up and then plugs up very quickly. I was wondering how to solve this and if I can transfer this to another container with any success. O r can you purchase additional nozzles. Thx
I'm not familiar with the Instant-Care brand but I'm guessing you're talking about a CA glue? CA does not hold up very well outdoors. I use CA building and repairing my R/C aircraft and I tried it once on some building window frames for my railroad. The windows didn't last a year. As far as transferring the glue to another container - I wouldn't recommend it. CA sets with even small amounts of moisture. That's also the reason the nozzel gums up so quickly.

While I generally agree with Rex on CA outdoors, there is an exception. I've used the major brand name CA's only to see them all fall apart after a few months. The exception is the CHEAP stuff, the "NO NAME" on the package, 4 or 5 tubes for a dollar. The composition seems to be greatly different. While glueing up a plastic mock-up I noticed that the cheap stuff was seirously melting the plastic. Pressed the parts together and molten plastic oozed out of the joint seam, requiring clean-up. Structures assembled 5 years ago with the cheap stuff are still going strong, but the name brands (3M, Lok-tight, Elmers, & PIKO) all fail before 100 days.
