The head is gray, hands don't work , back is weak, legs give out, eyes are gone, money go's and my wife still love's Me.

The railway looks great! Your forney is beautiful! I love the big star number plate gives it extra character, though the lined domes do their part as well...really nice.
I might reccommend looking to your track or trying different wheel sets rather than rebuilding the forney she looks so good as is.
Look for the smallest wheels you can find -- WW&F #10 has 15" dia tender wheels and 28" drivers.
Your wheels should run true...now wabble. they should be spaced correctly
I put a smaller truck on since this photo was taken and she looks better.
from an article by Vance Bass these are the basic dimensions that should work well on gauge one track. look to the "B" and "C" dimensions in particular. I would think that if the wheels work In O gauge the would work in G especially if they are the big Lionel style wheels. also make sure that there is some pressure holding the wheels to the rails (weight or spring pressure)
