Bachmann Blue Comet

Dear Trains.com members,
I have recently became enthralled over the now defunct Bachmann Blue comet. I have found them on e-bay but they always seem to slip away. My parents are in hot pursuit of one but when they find one, it's gone before they can try to get it. I am going to purchase the Westphal coach (Not Part Of The Set) on E-bay as I fing them often for around 5.00 - 20.00.
If anyone has a Blue Comet Set that is in great condition (it dosent have to be mint, just close to it. I would prefer Mint though) Please notify me. My parents will pay 79.00-140.00 for it. If we win the one on e-bay. I will notify ya'll.

I have several Royal Blue locos and about 4 passenger cars that say Blue Comet (no idea which cars without looking).
I fairly certain they were never built in Version 5, maybe not even in version 4.
Old "Plus" style, I think.
Be prepared to update the chassis.
At least the cars have battery boxes still.

P:S: If you do not have a blue comet loco, I am interested in the royal blue too. I still stand by my price (not meant to be rude, if you think it is).

sorry. in surgery at 0700 this morning, just now trying to make sense.
I cannot go downstairs yet, so I'll get to it as soon as I can.
Really cannot recall if there is a blue comet loco that we haven't repainted, but the cars are in the corner, separated out.

I have p[ictures. How do you want them?
I can put them in my space at MLS, or e-mail direct.
I found and engine, 3 OBS and one combine.
These are strange.
Brand new loco, 2 of the OBS and the combine (absolutely no wheel wear), but:
They were display. Th yay-who that had them painetd the drivers and piping with Floquil Engine Black, and the pilot beam. If you use some Polly-S remover, it should come right off.
The combine is also weird....he painted the body with Pullman Green, right over the blue, but not the roof and letterboard.
If you want to clean them, I'll let you have it all for $150 plus shipping, make coaches out of the 2 extra OBS like we do to get more coaches.
You'll have a 4-car train. Plus loco.
Let me know.

I tried to e-mail you the above info, but apparently you do not have an active e-mail listed in your profile.
Okay. You get to e-mail me with your e-mail address and I'll send you the photos.
