Where to get good engineers, firemen figures?

I've been wanting to have someone in the cab for awhile now, I have some guys that came with my lionel set and they do fine in their 0-4-0 but I have 2 more locos that I need populated. Any advice?

Try Woodland Scenics, they just produced a set of G loco crew figures that are based on Joe Crea's figures for his 1/22.5 Pitkin Tram layou, these look like they are going to be very good, they are pre-painted and Woodland Scenic's stuff is alway 1st rate.

Hi there. I am always looking myself. We had a thread on Large Scale figures a while back. My pet peeve was how ugly most of them were. Don't mind paying the price as long as they don't look like they came from Mars. Some of the poses make them look like they slipped a disc or something. Oh well. As Vic says Woodland Scenics are very good quality. Let us know if you find anything. Later eh...Brian.

I have always objected to the price of little people here in Oz A$10 each is just too much.

I have two small people a, well dressed man and woman, that the other small people do not like. So I have split them up and they are now operating as spies on separate trains, that way they can annoy the other little peple as much as they like.

The man is in the dining car of my turn of the century fun train and the woman is in the rear carriage of my Golden Mountain (Orient Express) train and the conductor is trying to crack onto her.

Try looking in toy stores for figures that could be modified to suit your needs. I have several Disney figures of people, not mice, that come very close to "G" scale.

Disney Store items??? We have those stores here too. Will have a look see. I have also seen people at large discount toy outlets and the likes. I recall as a kid going to K-Mart and seeing play sets with people. Came in Western themes etc. Scale??? Not sure, but as I recall they were close. Ahhhhh days gone by. These are smaller companies that specialize in figures. Some better than others. I think I'm going to mix and match my figures, no ONE company

Railroad Avenue also has train some figures.

Priesler has some very good figures but you have to look harder for older era or non-Euro figures.
