Web sites and forums will be down August 30-31
Posted by Rene Schweitzer on Thursday, August 26, 2010 10:49 AM

Our website and forums will be down Aug. 30 and 31 as we perform our site upgrade. The sites and forums will go offline at 9 a.m. CST Monday, Aug. 30. The sites should come back online during the day on Monday, Aug. 30, but the forums will remain down until Tuesday, Aug. 31.

If all goes as planned, we anticipate the upgraded forums will be up and running between noon and 5 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Please be sure to check in at that time and see all the new things we have in store for you. Thanks for your patience during this transition period.

Rene:

Please ask the IT folks if we will have to "re-authenticate" who we are when we log into the new system. If so, a short instruction set would be nice, in advance would be nice.

Tom, my understanding is that this upgrade will NOT affect your log-in/account. You'll probably need to re-log in, but you won't have to re-register. There will be a "welcome" message in everyone's in box on the 31st.

Another item of note: The archived list of posts WILL transfer to the updated software, but our IT folks say it will take about a week for everything to be moved. So if you search for an old post early next week and can't find it, try again in a few days.
