Do they sell G scale kits where you put rolling stock and structures together yourself or is their a source of good drawings available somewhere ?

Yes -- Northeast Narrow Gauge in Wiscasset, Maine, sells kits for locomotives, rolling stock, highway vehicles and structures.

Phil's Narrow gauge and Bachmann make rolling stock kits.
Aristocraft did make some Kit's, I have built 2.
The head is gray, hands don't work , back is weak, legs give out, eyes are gone, money go's and my wife still love's Me.

I'm not sure what kind of structure kits you are looking for. PIKO does offer about 200 different structure kits, made of heavy-duty weather-resistant, ultraviolet-stabilized plastic. These are all pre-colored and many are even slightly pre-weathered. They just cement together with a solvent-type plastic cement, such as PIKO-Fix. The possibilities for kitbashing and modifying the kits are almost endless. Many people do this! If you are looking for kits of wood or other materials, there are several suppliers advertising kits, supplies, parts and plans in GR.
I am doing the opening scene from the film "once upon a time in the west".This will be a static diorama and II will be building the kit "the general" as the locomotive.I would like to build a passenger car,box and a flat car if I can find one to modify or kit bash or even build from plans if necessary.I would also consider old unserviceable shells or anything that requires restoration,in fact I prefer it that way for static models.
In the film there is an old box car converted into a temporarily station and a water tower and windmill that I also want to kitbash or build from scratch if need be.The rest would be standard track and old railway ties or new ones slightly weathered.Any advice you could give me would be really appreciated,I am especially looking for fellow modelers who are also into the old west genre to communicate with as I am a newbie to RR dioramas although I have been modeling for 60 years.Cheers! GR has a download section where you pull and print plans for many of the items you are looking for. Have a look http://www.trains.com/grw/default.aspx?c=ss&id=93 these are called "Pullout Plans" as there used to be a paper plan inside the magazing.
