I spotted this and thought it would be great for speeders/motor cars. The price is right anyway. Not all of us are rich.

Activating link, interesting, I wonder how wide those axle are, and how powerfull it is. I have been using Stomper type toy cars for power blocks for some small self propelled units.

   Have fun with your trains

Says in the description the gear box is 1 1/8" and the axles stick out 3/4" on each side. Means it a total of 2 5/8". Have to cut off some of the axle. I have 3 ordered. Will evaluate and post.

Ok, I got 'em. The little shaft on the end is 2mm. It would likely be where you'd put a flywheel if you wanted .

The Flats on the axle are 180 degrees apart. The motor has a good bit of torque. One would likely be enough for a rail bus or some such. Two would likely pull 4 to 6 cars easily. I checked it with a 7.2V battery and got prototype speeds.

The wires should be replaced. The description says up to 18V. IMO that may reduce the life of the motor. May want to use a 5 to 10 watt power resistor at that voltage.  Value of the resistor would depend on the speed range you wanted.

Started working with these and found the axles are not 4mm, they are 5/32". :-)
