i just bought a thomas the tank engine and i found my lgb smoke unit i want to put it in the engine does anyone have a idea or planes that i can mod this engine its from bachmann thanks chad from pittsburgh pa.at the train station

Hi    Thamas was not designed to have a snoke unit, if you want to install one then you will need to know voltage of S/U and an on/off switch 16v dc.   So you will need to run Thomas on a rolling stand ans using a D/C volt meter find a power supply cable in Thomas that gives what voltage you need  any higher and you will burn S/U out      Hope this helps

 I believe that LGB made smoke units in 3 different voltages, so definitely get that question answered first.

 You might be able to use a voltage regulator to lower the voltage, but you need to know the target voltage first.

 You also did not specify if you are running track or battery power, and what voltages you are supplying
