Is there only one place to auction or bid on used or new G scale?
I don't care for eBay.

Yahoo has auctions, but I checked and didn't see trains of any kind there. [V] Amazon also has auctions, but I only found one train item. Anyone else have a suggestion?

Bluebonnet - 71,
I too do not care for ebay at times. What gets me is an awesome deal absolutely killed by shipping and handling. Makes it frustrating. [banghead] What I do now is this. Save my train money until I travel somewhere. If I come across a bargain I will pick it up. What is popular in one area will not be in another so hence the "clearance" items. I like to pick up store stock that has been sitting. Yes this takes time but my money goes a lot farther that way. Hopes this is encouraging to ya'. Later eh...Brian.

Bman

I wish I could travel. I had to quit being a Texas Peace Officer because of panic attacks brought on by other things so travel I just dream of.

I always factor in the shipping cost into my final bid price on Ebay, that way I know how much my total costs will be before I bid. Ebay is very Caviet Emptor, I have gotten some screaming deals but I have gotten some lemons too.

   Have fun with your trains

Another thought--contact your local club. I get a bunch of newsletters and they often list members' used items for sale. To find a club near you, go to: http://www.gardentrains.org/gta/community/clubs/clubs.asp

Oh, and Bluebonnet, in my email to you I mentioned you were in CT. I now see you're from Texas! Oops, sorry! Quite a difference there!
