Hello, I was wondering what would the gauge be with a 1/24 railroad running on old lionel 0-27 track.

O gauge track is 32 mm compare to G gauge track at 45 mm.
32/45 = 0.71
1/24 on G track is 3' 6" gauge or 42 inches. 42 x 0.71 = 29.82 or close enough to call it 30 inch gauge. Therefore it would be 1:24n30 or 1:24n2 1/2 .

Yep, Brian has it right, I just prefer to work in US customary units. American 0 scale is historically 1.25" gauge, 1/4"=1' scale., so 1.25" x 24 = 30" gauge for the prototype. Just for fun, standard gauge in 1:24 scale would be 2.354" between the rails, and a 2' gauge prototype would be a mere 1" gauge for the model. If you build any 1:24n30, be sure to post pictures!

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it and don't worry I get some pictures up as soon as I can.
