What does it all mean..................
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 6:59 AM
Hi guys,
Not really a topic but I do need help on this. What do all these darn abreviations mean??? I don't mean the railway ones I'm on about the BTW, LOL, IMHO ones. I suspect the last means 'in my honest opinion' but I don't really know. Can someone post up a list of all these computer speak terms for me so I don't have to ask again.
Cheers,
Kim

I asked the same question on another forum and this is what they said.

BTW means....by the way. LOL means....laughing out loud.

These were the only two I asked about.

Hi Kim
One I tend to use here without thinking SWMBO means She Who Must Be Obeyed.
common usage on the 16mm group I belong too.
Hence it keeps sliping in.

LOL = Laugh Out loud
BTW = By The Way
IMO = In My Opinion
IMHO = In My Humble Opinion -or- In My Honest Opinion
LMAO = Laughed My A$$ Off

There are others but these seam to be the most common.
