D&RGW Flatcar
Posted by Mr_Ash on Sunday, October 25, 2009 5:13 PM

This car started out as a Bachmann D&RGW gondola, I never liked it much and liked it even less after I cut the sides & ends down converting it into a flatcar. Infact I dislike the car so much the only time it gets run is when my nephew comes over and wants a flatcar for his consist...

Here is what it looked like....

Im not sure if I repainted & lettered the car because I felt sorry for it or I wanted some pratice for when I get around to doing those 6500 flats from USA flats but here is how it turned out, still needs a brake wheel and a dullcote bomb  :P

Oh yeah I picked 1826 as the number because thats the only wood flatcar I have pictures of.

Its at the Valmont display site of the Boulder County Railway Historical Socity near Boulder Colorado, I visit there when i visit my mom In Boulder every month or so Smile

Since you dislike it so much I guess I could see my way to allowing you to have me adopt it. Evil All it needs is a proper load, such as the boiler from a new blight taking up space in my junk valued treasures box. Whistling

If you haven't guessed, I like the looks of it.  'Course it would look better with with some old rusting junk as a load.  But that, my friend, is just my humble opinion.
