Have you thought to pick up the phone and ask if there is a problem IE spares or he may be on holiday or down with swine flu.   Dont let your blood presser go though the roof.

My blood pressure is the same as always.

I expect a man to keep his word.

I gave them two chances to do as they said they would.

How I am just telling the world.

I will spend the money to call them.

I have been tied up on a couple of major need to do around my house.

Well one thing for sure Mr. Jones, airing it on this forum will not do you a bit of good, so just try working with them. Try contacting Midge, she has always been very helpful to me. It is surprising to hear that those folks at MTH would ignore you, as I have always had good, fair treatment from them, in times past...course that's been about two years ago or more now...things do change and with this economy and all the way it is...don't give up on'em, just try and maybe deal with someone else there.

I must admit, this is helping to shape my opinion.

Well it has been 4 weeks and Andy Edleman has not back his promise to fix my GG-1s.

I have no connection with MTH other than owning 12 "G Gauge" and 6 "O Gauge" locomotives by them.  When I needed service or parts, I have had no problems getting through to "someone" who could help. I used E-Mail and at times they would arrange to have "someone" call me back for more details.

They are a company in Columbia MD with over 80 employees.  I would think the VP of Marketing (Andy Edleman) and VP Sales (Rich Foster) would spend most of their time on the road at train shows and with dealers.

Too much time has passed, I would use E-Mail, address it to several (maybe all) you can, Title it "Need Product Help" or something like that, be polite.  Here is the list of MTH people I have delt with:

andye@MTH-Railking.com  Andy Edleman

sales@MTH-Railking.com    Customer Service

webmaster@MTH-Railking.com   Stephen Schaffner

marian@MTH-Railking.com    Marian Rankine

midge@MTH-Railking.com     Midge Wilburn

sheila@MTH-Railking.com     Sheila Kelly

club@MTH-Railking.com        MTH Club,  Marilyn Browning

Look on the brite side it took me almost 2 years if not longer to get my 11 car work train from USA Trains A.K.A. Charles Ro and they would not give me a refund for any of the missing car's. Now I have no need for them.

Yesterday I received my two GG-1s and my TIU back from MTH.

No information as to what was the problem or repair.

From date sent to return no information was give by MTH.

The TIU works and one GG-1. I TIU would not recognize the other GG-1.

I will remove it from my over head and attempt to re-add as a new engine and see what happens. That was the engine that went to MAX speed when power applied.

I can not get the TIU to recognize the GG-1   4850.
I placed it on a segregated track. The lights and sound are active. I move the rail selector switch to both sides.
TIU does not see the engine.

If you lived here, you could drive on over and hand them to MTH personally.  They are just 20 minutes up the road from me.

They're too busy filing lawsuits against all of the other manufacturers -- now they're suing Broadway Limited over HO scale smoke..

Hmm, add a countersuit over headlight reflectors, and you've got a real "smoke and mirrors" court case!Clown

Later,

I called MTH again and talked to Pete again. He remembers working on my engines. He said to talk to Customer service again. I had to call again. I asked for customer service after listening to all the recorded messages. Customer service said I needed to talk to repair tech. I said I did talk to Pete and he said I needed to talk to Customer service. I had to call back again. I just pushed "0". I explained the run around I been getting. She had Customer service call me(finally). I explained about receiving the engine in bad order from repair. All she said was we will give it top priority. $27.00 for postage again. The engine went out today.

I also found out why the Challenger bell and whistle did not work. The new up/grade on the TIU. In the sound section you can now turn off the bell and whistle separately plus other options.
