roller bearing wheels
Posted by bumpah on Sunday, July 12, 2009 4:54 AM

I picked up a few sets of roller bearing wheels. I figured I'd use them on my heavier stock. Question: can I use them on trucks with electrical pick ups? I'm wondering if the current will get through, or if the current is going to screw up the bearing?

My cars with electric pickups have the wipers on the backside of the wheel, so no current passing through the jurnals. Where are your pickups located? Unless you have pickups inside the jurnals current will not have a path through the bearings.

the bearings appear to be part plastic. my pickups ride on the inside of the flange. I did a continuity check, and there is no connection between flanges. I guess I'm OK, I'll give it a go. what's the worse that could happen!!!
