Posted by patriotusa55 on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 9:23 AM

HI ALL, i am just getting in to garden railway's i have started to build my building's now. then i build 1/24 scale trucks & some car's for it as i build the buildings i do the trucks & cars for that building. then pack it away till we move. the garden train will run through the town & around it & more. i am designing every thing my self no directions at all for the buildings or the models. this project will take me about one or two years to do. we are moving so i am building now so when i get my super big garage or super basement. then i start build my dream diorama,  CYBORGVILLE  TOWN. I use all types of material , wood / metal / plastic / & of course POLYMER & SCULPEY CLAY. I AM DISABLED AND CANT WALK WELL, SO I HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO BUILD AT MY WORK STATION. i have very little schooling so my wife LOUANN will help me with the things i need to know. i would like to send pictures now & again when i do a building, i have two almost done. my fire-rescue & trading post, i made out of dowell rods like the old time log cabins. well you all have a great day, tom / patriot usa 55, i am 56 years old & love modeling building & garden railway trains. i live in GREENSBURG Pa.

Welcome Tom. You will probably enjoy the creations of master creator and fellow garden railroader, Chris Walas (he won an Oscar for his creation in the movie, The Fly).

He has many of his creations and techniques on his web page - http://4largescale.com/chris/. There is a menu bar in the top left corner.

Chris' Futuropolis -

Also Yogi Wallace techniques page may come in handy - http://users.stratuswave.net/~wd8jik/

First welcome, since it seems you have so free time, have you thought about working on your rolling stock? Evrey railroad need's it's own . I am finealy doing mine since I ran out of track and  Train money. I have almost everything I need track ( as in space ) wise. only 40 foot or so short on the last siding.
