station stop
Posted by sailbode on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 1:53 PM

Would like to have my train stop at a station for 20 seconds or so and then continue around the loop.  What might be the easiest way to achieve this?  Currently running LGB on track power.  would like to switch to Battery in the future.  Should I wait untill I get the battery system?  I am not familiar with DCC......maybe I need to beCool

Sailbode:

There are a few vendors out there that make modules for just that purpose. Split Jay Rail Clamps has a unit you might be interested in. http://www.railclamp.com/displayCategory.jsp?categoryId=3&vId=100296 And look at the bottom of the page. This one is an auto-reversing unit that allows multiple variable stops. Check out the vendors advertised in GR, I'm sure you will find one that will do what you want with track power. Once you convert to battery, someone else will need to advise you there. I'm sure one of the battery guys will put you on the right track there.
