Dick Weatherby's Maryland Central is set in Northern Maryland right along the old right of way of the Maryland and Pennsylvania RR (the Ma & Pa). Dick's Railroad is set into the steep grade of a rocky mountain that makes you Western boys look like wimps. Climbing the hill is better suited to mountain goats. Dick has authored a few articles for GR over the years. There are five separate loops set into the steep grade and a sixth separate loop on the far lower level. Excellent photos Brian. We were there Saturday, from abouit noon to one, sorry we missed you. This really is a fantastic layout. Here is my favorite picture from our visit. Also, where is that interesting bridge you posted? That is neat.
Paul
Thanks Paul. Sorry I missed you. Got there around 2:30.
The bridge is just outside of Cockeysville near 83. It runs over the North end of the Loch Raven reservoir.

Brian, nice photos, nice railroad. That's some hill, no disrespect intended we westerners call our mountains hills, planning and building must have been some project.
Thanks, Rob
What happened to the 1001ft from the valley floor rule to classify as a Mountain?
But indeed a very cool location for an interesting and beautiful Railway in the Garden.
