What figures will work well with the Aristo-Craft long steel caboose?

What scale and brand of figures will look right with the Aristo-Craft long steel caboose.I don't want to use 1/32 they are to small to me,even thoe they are closest to scale.I'm looking to add some figuers inside the caboose and one on the deck,and I would like to also add some to my locos that are 1/29 scale.Please sujest some figures,brand of maker and scale.Thanks to everyone for the help.

I I like the Supply Line figures, have one on my caboose, it is almost too large though. Aristo and USA both have 1/29th scale figures.

 Besides the SLM figures, the Lionel figures are on the shorter side of 1:24. You can often find them on eBay and other places.

 

In this picture figures 2, 5 and 7 (L to R) are 1:24 SLM figures and figures 3 and 6 are Lionel figures.

My boxcab based on an Aristo 1:29 bobber has a Lionel figure in the cab and an Aristo figure on the platform -
