At a model RR show in Roseville CA last weekend, I picked up a Bachmann coach and a combine with no interiors, floors, couplers or trucks.
I've got about eight of these including some full baggage, combines and obveration car. I'd like to kit bash a diner or a sleeper.
I don't want a long discussion of whether or not such cars existed in the 1890's. I've done enough homework to know (1) both types of cars existed then, even if J&S might not have built them, and (2) it was not uncommon for railroads to kitbash their own cars to meet (current) need.
Unfortunately, the J&S cars on the web didn't have good pictures of the sides, ends, etc. Anybody have a good source of pictures that I might use?
I'm thinking of using one side of the combine to place the kitchen, while using one side of the coach for the dining area and the walkway thorough the car.
This place might give you some ideas. There kits but ideas.

According to this roster, http://dssa.habitant.org/passngr.htm , they built dining, biz, and cafe/obs cars.
Ran across some good pix here - http://drgw.free.fr/DRGW/Passenger/Voiture_en.htm

so are you wanting to know how they would look on the outside or how the interior would look?
Was just flipping through a book I got when I rode the Cumbres & Toltec called "Ticket to Toltec" on one page there is a picture of a D&RG train at Coxo taken around 1883 and the caption says that one of the coaches named "Toltec" was built by Detroit Car Works - Pullman Palace Car Company june of 1880 as a "luxurious sleeping car" it had ten sections and two toilets on the car. It says that it was later sold to Uintah Railway in 1905
Granted its not a J&S car but it doesnt look to much diffrent, from the outside it just looks like any of the other coachs
Jackson & Sharp use to be in Wilmington, Delaware located just beyond the AMTRC station where 1-95 crosses over heading to DC and points south. The building were still there until a bus storge facility was built.
I'll see what I can find on Jackson & Sharp and the cars they built. Not far from the site on the Christiana River is where landing craft were built for the "D" Day invasion.
A lot of history and abandoned trackage in this region.
