Fall running
Posted by SNOWSHOE on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 12:44 PM

I got my backwoods stock out running.  Had to clear the leaves and there was a lot on the layout.  Still some there but I will let the wind take care of that.
Engine is stopping for a load of wood. (need a person to sit on the bench inside.)

At the water tower

No more worries with the new cribbing in place

Gradual climb to the trestle The new and improved link and Pin couplers thanks to Vic

The S curve

Coming out of the tunnel

Going along the great wall

Finally backing into the mine

Still needs a lot more detail but getting there slowly.  I need some figures to make the layout come a live and add some purpose. Still have alot of weathering to do on the rolling stock.

NEAT PICTURES.  I LIKE YOUR TUNNEL.  HOW LONG IS IT?  I REALLY LOOKED HARD TO TRY TO INCORPORATE ONE IN MY LAYOUT, BUT DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT AREA SINCE MOST IS RAISED.  THANKS FOR POTOS.

Thanks the tunnel is about 3-4 feet long.  I just built a mountain over the track.  Then I was forced to put in a tunnel.  It really adds to the layout and very easy to incorperate.

Thanks Toad, the river is dry for the winter and covered with leaves.  Thats why I took it out of the shots.  Not very nice looking.  The Mrs. knows about the train.  The only reason why she did not get mad was because  my uniform money I got from work came in.  It saved me.  I was a bit disappointed when the Big John engine came in the mail the postal service damaged it.  Hartland was great they had UPS come to my house pick the engine up.  Now im just waiting for them to fix it.  For now Im getting my log flat cars ready.  As soon as my big John comes I will post some pictures.  hopefully it will be in the snow.

Hi Snowshoe,

NICE pics the layout looks great you can be pleased with it, as for the new engine glad you got it with out getting an ear bashing.  I hope to get a new Bavhmann consolidation at a big exibition on the 22nd nov. Having been over your side of the pond a few times its nice to see pics of your layouts with what you call the back yard  160ft x 250ft wish we had that sort of space on my side of the pond

Snowy, not to be stupid...but what kinda loco is that? It's cool. I love the look of your layout too, very nicely done.

It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.
