NT how to make a ice box A/C
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 1:56 PM

Ok, every one here knows I am on generator and is killing my mother's lungs.

Checked out Dry Ice but found it was CO2 and a man that knew ice just happen to be there.

He said cover all the bags in water then place a towel on top. Anything else? Like I don't want to kill myself with it giving off CO2 all night......

Just thought maybe some one else had ideas, etc.....ice melts way to quick down here.

It would be pretty hard to asphyxiate yourself with the CO2 coming off of dry ice. I spent much time with uncovered buckets of it working the the lab. Maybe if you had a sealed room with no air flow it could be a problem. Just a  little bit of it mixed in your regular ice will keep it frozen. A few small blocks in the freezer will help keep a fridge cool. Just be sure to use gloves to handle it.

DRY ICE is all CO2. It is much heavier that air. It is 100% invisible and has no odor. It is a killer. I t displaces air in a confined space (closed up room for air conditioning). I do not know how far below ZERO it is.

Skin will freeze instantly to it.
