LS Mikado 2-8-2 arrived yesterday, loose pieces included

I posted this on another forum as well but I recieved my Live Steam Mikado 2-8-2 yesterday and when I was removing it from the shipping container bag, several pieces fell out.

All but 1 piece has been identified.  It is a black nut with brass threads inside it.  It is a "T" shaped nut with 1 flat side.

Give your supplier a call before you steam up, Safty first.  As you can not say what its for could be maintenance.    But please check better safe than sorry        Steam can injure any one    Hope this is of helpSmile [:)]

Read the manual that came with the locomotive.  If it's a critical item, it will be shown in the instructions.

I ran it the other day and NO problems accurred.  I have been all assured that the piece is extra and NOT intended at all on this loco.

Yes, no problems at all.  I talked to George at Aristo and he said he has taken this engine down to nothing before and that this part did not look like it belongs.  Who knows, steams good though.  Barry
