Brian, I'm always interested in trying a new way of doing a given thing. To me "status quo" is just too limiting so I bought the "S" scale couplers as an experiment. They cost $3.95 (US) a pair with draft gear box (cheaper than K-D .... more reliable than Bachmann etc. etc.). A long shank style is also available without draft gear box for $2.95 a pair. If these couplers work out I will sell the few K-Ds I have and junk or give away all my other coupler brands.
