More Summer fun
Posted by SNOWSHOE on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 2:12 PM

I finally got my backwoods rolling stock out.  I added a little more detail to my tender -(chains and axes.)  I found all the little details at AC mors.  Their doll house section has a lot of things that are fairly close to scale.  I also added chains and stakes to my logging cars.  I still have to repaint and change around the engine.  I am also working on a water tank car and a smaller box car for my backwoods set..  Not done yet.  Eventually I have to start focusing on getting a few structures on the layout (water tower, wood shed and a small engine house.

Here are some pictures.  Still needs some work once the finer details get put in it will make a hudge difference.

Nice work on your rolling stock.  How large of a pump do you have on your stream?

Rex- I forget what size pump it is.   The numbers are all faded.  When I got it a few years ago it was labled as a water fall pump.  I got it at Lowes.  I would say it is the smallest in the waterfall cat.  I had to put a smaller hose on the pump because the larger one I had caused the water to overflow the sides of my upper pool.
