How-to project contest
Posted by Rene Schweitzer on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 8:56 AM

Thought I'd post this here in case some of you didn't see it. We're having a small contest for short how-to articles. ALL of you are eligible. See the rules here:

Thanks Rene, I've been wanting to put together a small article on my Mack bashes, this seams to be a good reason to do so,  I'll give this a whirl.

   Have fun with your trains

Rene,

I too have been thinking about doing some writing for this subject -but rather more detailed than I would for any of my web pages... I think it would be on the subject of home made chassis and what can be used to build them.

Would that be suitable?

Rene,

Thanks for the headzup, I'd missed it.

I wonder if a rank newbie with a never-built-a-thing level of expertise (though I think that's an oxymoron in this case) is eligible to enter? It says "anybody" in the article....

Maybe ... I wonder ... might be fun.

And I might finally finish my power plant.

Les,

Yes, these kinds of project are just what we're looking for. Things anyone can make using simple tools.

And Ralph, drop Marc an email at mhorovitz @ gardenrailways.com. He's the man who's accepting the entries.

Rules,,,,rules???? Why is there always rules?????

Ask Marc H. about one I sent in over two months ago that showed a simple $20 kitbash/ one evening project on USAT containers. no painting required.

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.
