Okay I have another question .This might seem like common knowledge to most but I need to know .When you say the track radius is 20' is it a circle of track 20' wide or 40' wide ?

Blue Aster, A twenty foot radius means from center of a would be circle to the outside of the circle, meaning if you measured across the whole circle it would be 40 feet across. Radius X 2 = diameter

The confusion comes from the fact that every other scale uses radius as the standard for size curves. G-Scale has to be different. The general notation in G scale for track curve size is in diameters.

Will drive you crazy if you came from another scale.

Yes. Most things here are given in diamiter unless otherwise mentioned, although everyone is different in what they do.

Okay , thanks . Now that the weather here in Chicago is starting to warm up I can go out in the yard and start planing a little now .
