No LGBoA/Marklin distribution agreement

Well thats that, no LGBoA/Marklin distribution agreement this year, or from the looks of it, maybe any year.

I'm posting a link to www.Gscalemad.co.uk site, which I view as a neutral third party in this matter, which has posted a copy of the official LGB memo, but its on other LS forums as well now. So..whats next, especially considering the rumors Kingbridge will be selling off Marklin next year sometime?

   Have fun with your trains

IIRC, Walthers has been granted exclusive Marklin distribution rights in the USofA.  Does Walthers handle G-scale at all, or only O and smaller?

Toad - suggest you get out more Wink [;)]...onto additional large scale forums that is.  This news has been discussed ad nauseum in the LGB Family Forum (link from LGBoA's home page), the G Scale Mad forum and a few other LS forums.

Bottom line is - LGBoA is in good position with Piko products; but no one yet knows how Märklin intends to market LGB to North America now that negotiations with LGBoA have broken off.   Walthers is carrying Märklin's smaller scale model RR products, but there has been no announcement yet that Walthers will carry the G scale LGB products (or whatever Märklin intends to call them). It is still all speculation at the moment.

MY opinion,  LGB started the growth in Large Scale calling it "G", all else followed

They made dependable products that became "over priced" when competition entered the market.  They failed to reduce costs and increase detail, they tried to make everything run on a 4' circle, and they were late with American Prototypes.

If you think LGB was "over-priced" then, wait until you see Marklin pricing.

Hello old chap, I don't go to every thread and read every post and then go to every forum and read every post. I just have not the time. Sorry if I made you mad but Vic brought it up here and GR forums is my home..........and yes it is even in GR mag by Watts Train Shop.

I was referring to

"Where is my Demo Track Cleaning Car?"

Anything else you would like clarification on?

Son, when you quote me, "And, for my last b-day you missed my present! A used track cleaning loco.......Cowboy <img src=" border="0" width="25" height="23" />" quote the whole quote, Savy?

Toady,

I think you meant "Toad Sparrow".  Sorry about that. I know we were talking at the time and I obviously distracted you with something I said.

Hmmmmm........

Don't recall promising you a track cleaner. Don't have any so I guess it's a moot point.
