Sound units

I am thinking about getting a Dining Car for my LGB LCE ICE train with a sound unit in it. What is applicable I have heard European electric sound is not as good as European diesel and I have heard that the Sierra sound unit is better than the LGB one. They are both incredibly expensive for what they are and I'm concerned that the Sierra unit may not work on 20 V AC, which is what I have on my layout.
