Check the links @ LGBoA to the LGB Club, would think that is what he is speaking of.

I'm not talking about the LGB of America website, I'm talking about the LGB Club site out of Germany, LGB-CLUB.DE.. I go to LGB of America every 2 days for any updates about the Marklin/LGB information.. The Club site is still down and not running.............. I'm a charter member and in good standing in the LGB club......

I would suggest contacting Märklin directly. They have assumed responsibility for the LGB club.

I went to my local hobby shop Legacy Staction in Lawrenceville,GA and obtained a catalog from MArlkin.  I do not have any Marlkin trains....but if I understand the catalog correctly..Marlkin's trains are metal locomotives...LGB is not.  Wouldn't it be logical that Marlkin will continue to market it's name brand as the "Mercedes" high end and the LGB as the "Volkswagen" mid range?

The Marklin Maxi's are all AC, unlike the LGB that run on DC.. I myself don't care to much for the Marklin Maxi's.. The price is also very high on them, I would say there double the price of LGB's.. Maxi's have been around for about 12+ years, never became big here in the states because of the things listed above..

I was told on MLS that the Maxi line comes with a circuit that plugs into it to allow for DC use.

I also remember reading that alot of the English speaking members of the old European LGB club base had migrated to the Gscalemad website during the hiatus.

The only one I'm really sure of is the former, the later I can't say how accurate that is.

   Have fun with your trains

I am not sure that the LGB Club folks migrated to GSMad; they were most likely there already but due to LGB's problems they may have become more noticeable.  GSMad had a very strong LGB bias when I first joined in 2006 but with the disappearance of things appertaining to LGB a more balanced Forum has arisen I feel.  I notice that there are far more folk now who have  Aristo-Craft and USAT stock and there is more discussion about American outline and railroads.

Yeah, I just had a lightn idea! Speaking of LGB track cleaner if you had one you could take the shell apart (top part) and I could mold it....YES!!!! Then I could have one!

And just think I could make MOW units....OH MAN!!!! More toys!!!!!! Maybe Jack would know if he has a shell????

Jack, act like you did not read the above!

Do you have a shell/s for the LGB track cleaner? How much? I broke mine!

Toad,

Go to www.lgboa.com and look under "customer support" . There is an email address and fax number for parts requests.

 Too bad Jack,

I'v been in TCA and collecting "O" gauge for 35 years.  I attend the 3 day TCA shows at the York Fair Grounds each April and October without fail.    A long time ago, Nate Polk had a display at a York TCA show, it was his new line of REA "G" gauge being marketed by Aristo-Craft.   At that point I felt, if I ever were to build an operating layout, it would be in the backyard, in "G" gauge.

Construction started 8 years ago and has grown to over 500 feet of track, 16 engines, and who can count the cars.  "G" gauge expanded by one person because of a display at TCA York. Nearly 15,000 members with cash to spend, 1,800 Member Tables, and 227 Manufacturer and Dealer Booths, a great chance to spread the word - "G Gauge".

Many of the LGB Club folks migrated to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LGBFamily/ and are still there.
