I see these commercials for home morgage people bidding for your buisness.
wouldn't be great if their was a web site where hobby shops would try to lower their prices to get us to buy. This Idea came up after price hunting for an LGB 260 mogul #23191 on the net. I just know in the back of my mind there is a pretty good markup on them, import or not. Unfortunatly it's the only one I've found to match the Waynesburg and washington railroad's #4 260 Mogul.
I'm not even close to having the guts to kitbash one. Somebody who understands the net could make a little money brokering us better deals.

Any feed back for this idea would be cool!

I understand what you are saying regarding getting the best price. The current web site pricing is in my opinion quite fair. If you want to try and low ball something give eBay a try. Everyone is entitled to markup the merchandise they sell. A proper fair profit is usually around 40%. This gives the seller money to re-invest and help grow a business. Reality though a lot end up selling at around a 20% profit margin. Almost not worth the effort. I have a friend who owns a local hobby shop and we have discussed the price issue. Bottom line, businesses need a proper profit in order to stay alive. It costs money to operate. I know this is probably not what you wanted to hear but it is reality. The best prices are found when a certain outlet will buy in very large quantity and pass on the savings. Again this takes a lot of capital to do. Get the picture? Just some things for you to think about. Watch the net, there are lot's of great deals to be had! Later eh...Brian.

Volume ! In my experence volume generates steady income. Of course I look at track home builders who make their money in quantity not Quality.
