I am an "O" guage railroader so please excuse my ignorance.I have a friend with a large outside "G" guage railroad and we need to know of the largest (most powerful) "G" guage transformer that uses a conventional handle. We have a handheld remote but the time lag and steps to ramp power up just takes too long.Aristo makes the power set-up we have, but it uses a power box (10 amp) and and a track power unit controlled by the hand-held transmitter.Does anyone know if in "G" guage we can just add a controller to this or must we buy a completely new transformer.
Also does anyone have an Aristo manual switch machine they'd like to part with ?
Thanks in advance.
Ed
I use the Aristo 10 amp Ultima and two of the Aristo 10 amp controllers for track power on my layout. They work well and none of the pesky lag time you see with the Train Engineer. If you want a big traditional power supply. MRC make the 10 amp power G or Bridgewerks makes a few different models.

Ed:
The Bridgewerks 220-RM is a 20amp dual-controller unit that is, to the best of my knowledge, the most powerful G gauge off-the-shelf transformer/controller on the market. We have no complaints about ours.
Info on the 220-RM is at http://www.bridgewerks.com/Pages/Mag220RM.html. Check out http://www.bridgewerks.com/Pages/Plug-ins.html for info on accessories. Dave Sauerwald, the owner and founder of Bridgewerks, is a gold mine for technical assistance with his products; drop him an eMail if you have any questions.
I will check out both.Thank you.
Brian:do you have model or part numbers on the Aristo 10 amp controller ?
