Source for code 332 brass rail?
Posted by hoofe116 on Thursday, August 23, 2007 9:35 PM

Someone mentioned St Aubin's for good prices. I went there looking for brass track. Nope. Went to the one flashing under another's post. Uh-uh.

Sooo... where might I get a standard number? A dozen, perhaps? I think they come in 8' sections, but darn me if I can find the ad in any of my 4 GR mags.

Speaking of which, if the Oct issue comes out next week, why, it'll seem like a monthly to me! Evil [}:)]

I hafta start clearing ground, soon as the weather breaks. It was 100 deg F actual again here in River City, today. 20 days this month where even the nighttime temps didn't get below 80F. The tomatoes alongside the driveway are doing great tho. The neighbor is eating them. But he's a good sort.

LGB is all that I buy.  I like the way it works, and the way it discolors in the weather.  When I buy a bunch, I open the tube, put it out on the outside workbench so it is exposed to the elements for a few months before putting it down to lay track.  That way it is "pre-aged" when in position.  The rails planned for use during summer 08 are just now being put out to age.

Are you tryin' to give me a heart attack? Smile [:)]

Anyway, thanks for the input, I went there and there is no rail listed. Lotsa code 225. No brass, either. I've noted in the past it was offered 'spottily' (is that a word?). I want the rails, not the completed track. I'll hafta machine a couple of dies for my sliproll to bend it, so no big hurry because I still can't get to my lathe.

Thanks,

Les
