Try not to laugh too hard. I made this up this morning. I have bolts and nuts to add and some chain and hooks. I got the packs of square dowels from wal mart for $1.34. All the rest except for the trucks I have.
Cool lookin'. What department, pray tell, in Walmart did you find the square dowels? Are you going to add nuts/washers to the flatware?

There's the rub, Robert. I have yet to find a cheap source for either trucks or couplers (though I have a big bag of hooks and loops you can have). You could try making your own link and pin coupler using brass open rectangular stock for coupler pockets and brass bar and wire for the links and pins. You might want to give Hartland a call to see what they charge for trucks. You can pick up one of their flat cars for less than $14 so hopefully just trucks would be cheaper (not always true though!).

The way I see it you have two choices.
Choice one arch bar bogies scratch or commercial
Choice two a crude wood framed bogie, there was one on a 7/8 pulp wood car that was on one of the GR pull out plans ( I forget which one) this should be able to be adapted quite easily for a "G" log car
