Trains on T.V.
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 2:38 AM
I was recently flipping through channels when I saw trains on T.V.[:)][:D][8D] It was on HGTV and the show was called Crazy for Christmas. There was also another show and I believe it was called Christmas 2003 Bigger and Brighter. There were quite a few LGB trains but there was a sighting of a U.S.A Trains GP-7. I hope these shows come on again. Check your local listings[;)].

RFD-TV, a satellite channel available through Dish Network and Direct TV, has two one-hour long train programs every week. One is a program about real trains called Trains and Locomotives, and the other is about O-gauge, called O Gauge Railroad. Sometimes there is some G-scale mixed in with the O Gauge.

I happened to watch the Crazy for Christmas. It had a segment of the Kloewer's garden railroad and Christmas display, and it was amazing. I've talked to the Kloewers and they are nice folks, so it's great they were picked to be featured.

Speaking of trains on TV, don't forget about Tracks Ahead on PBS! If you have HDTV, season five was filmed in high definition.
