I haven't gotten my GR issue yet, and others are talking about stuff in it. I think.

Rene:

Sorry to disturb you with something that's probably not your line, but how does one get ahold of the magazine to find out if they missed sending one a copy? Since this is only my third issue, I'm kinda sorta waiting on it. Seems like the guys were talking it up on the general board last time I was on. It could be I'm confused. That happens a lot. It could be, as a new subscriber, I fell through a NYNN gate. (Neither Yes Nor No) Wink [;)] That has happened to me often over the years very early in the subscription cycle. Somewhere on this site there ought to be a 'Contact Us' tab, but darned if I can find it.

TIA for your kindness.

Les,

I have yet to figure out the rhyme or reason to the shipping of GR. Here I sit, 10 miles from the White House, and guys in the boonies are getting their GR a week before me. Heck, even a guy in Norway was getting his GR before me. I got my August issue less than a week ago.

Brian, That's the problem, there you are in a major metropolitan area in the Great Northeastern Corridor; and the publishers are out there in the upper midwestern boonies!

Perhaps there's something in the (clean??) air or water out there disrupting all rime and reason?

Les,

I would either email: customerservice@kalmbach.com or call 800-533-6644. They have a schedule for each magazine of the estimate arrival dates and can tell you if it's late. If it is, they will send you a replacement copy.

Brian:

Oh, thank you for that insight into GR's mailing practices! I wondered if that might not be the case. I don't object, point of fact I think GR does an excellent job of producing a wide-audience magazine at an affordable price. And, I'm an ex-tech writer who has had articles published in such wildly popular mags as the Edwardsville Sewer Gazette, local newspapers, flack pieces for various paying customers, and even (ahem) one SF novel. Thus, I think I have a fair-enough basis for my appraisal as opposed to, say, any input re Garden RR subjects on this board. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]
