Global warming - any effects

Apart from this winter, which as has already been pointed out is more due to El Nino than greenhouse gases, it's possible global warming will have other train-related effects, or at least garden-related effects. For example, in the U.S., the National Arbor Day Foundation has just issued a revised hardiness zone map, and large sections of the country are now in a different zone than they were 15 years ago. There's <a href="http://www.arborday.org/media/zones.cfm">a map you can check out at their web site</a> to see the new zones and the changes. Personally, I went from a Zone 6 to a Zone 7.
