Afternoon folks!

Sunny finally, headed to 50's today. 60's and light rain tomorrow. Another freeze scheduled for next week. Might be the last of the year if norms prevail?

Fife - Haven't visited those channels. Will have to give them a look. I lean towards the DIY/shop/machining channels. I am amazed at how many steam operated machines still exist and operate. I also like several of the steam channels out of the U.K.

Kev - glad you are improving! Hope the wife improves quickly!

Was planning on some NASCAR today, but it is raining in Las Vegas?

Regards, Roy

Helped pack meals for Rise Against Hunger for a while this AM.  Then down east to farm to replinish feeder batteries and change SD cards.  Home now.  9,000+ steps today.

Later.

I think I'm on the last page for today, but this software's page index is a mystery to me. How can you have a negative page number? I've never read a book with negative page numbers. Must be a new math thinging.

Kevin... Lionel must have hundreds of complaints about Fastrak conductivity for them to post the video on YouTube. My computer also blows up Fife's photo.

Buckeye, good to know it is not just me with Fife's picture!!

I have also seen a Lionel video on how to bend the rail ends to help fix the conductivity problem. I don't use any FasTrack so I can't say one way or the other but sure looks bad to me.   ???

Was a great day here, hit 60 and full sun. Winter starts again tomorrow.

Mornin' all!

Sunny and cold right now, looks like the clouds are rolling in, but it's supposed to get up to 59° today. Rain tomorrow.

The Christmas Trains are put away. The boards are still down, we'll get those this week. Corey and I did some major train running yesterday. Now I wish I was leaving it up longer. Anyway, I took some videos, will try to load them. Somewhere I think I have a YouTube channel.

On with the day, time to get the boys out the door.

Have a good one!

Mornin' boys.  Red skies and 34 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Had a wonderful weekend.  Took my mom a nice seafood platter for her birthday, Friday.  Nice easy train ride Saturday, and some quality time with Youngest Princess.  Then spent yesterday travelling back to Baltimore for the grandsons' (both) baptism.  Nice little reception afterwards, and a visit to Pizza John's, then the Middle Princess drove us back to WV.  So many blessings.

I removed the tower pic, which cured the problem.  So that one was on me, guys.

Good morning all,

Did 11 miles Saturday in just under 3 hours for a 3.67 MPH average.  Watched some more Hill Street Blues Saturday and Sunday.  Did a puzzle Sunday.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning folks!

Sunny and 60's today. Big front on the way for Wed freeze. Wind howling outta the NW. Almost took the front door outta my hand when I went out to get the newspapers.

Hmmm - I had no issue with Fife's pic? Now page numbers, at least as inganeers, Buckeye and I can appreciate the negative numbers, but watch out if they go imaginary or logarithmic!

Good afternoon all,

In the grand scheme of things, this bit of information probably means diddly squat, but I read where lots of Chinese firms are having trouble staying in business due to this virus situation.  I wonder if any our train suppliers are affected?   I hope everyone has a good day.

May brake the record for the high today and tomorrow 83 & 84

I'm having a lot of trouble with my internet. Frontier. If a blue light is off on my modum I know no internet and it's almost everyday often. I have to unplug and wait and plug back in and pray. Then I call them and they do something and it so far has come on but it's extremely frustrating and worries me.

Mornin' all!

So we put away the Christmas trains over the weekend. Last night I'm sitting at my computer after coming home, and I hear something from the living room. Went in and Corey had pulled out Tyler RS-3 and was running it with a few cars. So we ended up pulling out 3 more engines and a bunch of cars - ran trains for about 45 minutes. That was fun, didn't realize he was still into it.

Started spitting a few drops as I pulled into work, looks like it's gonna be a rainy day. That's okay, I noticed a couple of places last week dumped salt out when it got cold, for no apparent reason. This will wash it off the roads.

On with the day. Have a good one!

MikeC - man, wish I could get 12 hrs in, been many years since that was possible for me. Just happy if I can get get 4 hrs in before waking up to go potty.

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy and 41 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Possible snowhizo tonight, so I'll get out after dinner and spread some grass seed out front.  Need to get down to the railyard after while, and do a little office work as well.

I headed to the train room after dinner, and laid down some ties and ballast of the AF loop.  Still don't have enough blackened ties, but it was a start.  Took a toothbrush to the ties and railheads this morning, to neaten the appearance.  I'll vacuum up the ballast boogers tonight, as it all should be dry.

cheapclassics - 1/3 of the Chinese "small business" workforce have not been able to get to work, mainly due to transportation and quarentine issues.  Millions of pounds of perishable food products are rotting away in containers at Chinese ports.  This is going to have long ripple affects across the global economy.  So, yes, I think it's going to have detrimental affects on the toy train market.  In the meantime, dust off those great old articles on cheap classics, mon frair.

I've had Frontier since the 90s and it's always been reliable. A few years ago I had a modem (supplied by Frontier) fail.  Called them and they promptly sent a new one.  Just my 2¢.

Happy Hump Day -

My future SIL family is in and staying at my house - Grandma is not doing well, 3 types of cancer so the family is in to support her (from OK), told her to get her affairs in order.  Hence, no train time between the flu and this.  Not sure when they are leaving.

I have a funeral Saturday, one of our Past Chiefs has gone on to the FD in the Sky, been scrambling to get our memebers, most of who have been too lazy to get it done, uniforms in order so they can at least look presentable.  Yeah, let's all wait until someone dies or there is a parade/event.  Worst than children......

I did get my PRR 1668 Torpedo together, just need run time and maybe some contact cleaner and she should be running like the wind.  Also need some time with my 262E and get the new contact plate on it so that will work.

Spent time with Jenni and Smurf the Cat while she draws protraits on a contract of 6 to do.  On #2 of the 6.  Has to be done by the 25th of April.

Greenburg's on Sunday - hope to get some accessories there, Since Jenni has closed on the house I have to build another layout and a slot car track to go with her air hockey table and another arcade type table game.  Need to finish my layout but I have enough for both houses.....

Will check back soon, just been sick and busy with work, it's nuts here, doing 2 jobs....oy.

Prayers for all in need....

Howdy all!

Dreary day today, the forecast as of yesterday morning was the rain would move out and we'd have sunshine. Not in the cards I guess.

Still waiting on my mechanic Angelo to tell me how much that ignition lock replacement cost. About all I know is that it's north of $500 - ugh! Once I take care of that I need to put my Mercury in for a tuneup, new tires and a few other things. Yay, more bills.

Have a good one!

Evening folks!

Worked in the garage most of the day. Cold out. My new tank top propane heater kept things toasty - shirt sleeves! Freeze tonight. Might be last freeze of the season although mid-April is officially the last possible time per 125 yrs of records.

Anj - you are carrying quite the load - keep taking time to breath! Angel

DJ - ouch! That much to replace an ignition key! Wowzers! However, in today's world, these heavy repairs are still cheaper/economical vs buying a new vehicle.

Chief - back on the dole! That didn't take long!

Hello there,
    Been neglecting to post.

Went to the Greenberg Show at Monroeville Saturday. Parking as usual sucked. Ended up almost a half mile away. The show was so so. Lots of new stuff and toys that I have no interest in. Several layouts from Z to O with everything in between and lots of wide open space. The crowd was large, had to wait in line at a couple of dealer tables to see what I wanted to see. On the bright side I've never seen so many young people at a show, including couples with kids.

Spent only $5 for shoebox full of O guage rubber ties.

Son decided it was dry enough to start spring plowing. He worked on that Sunday and Monday. I was really surprised how dry it is.

Monday got a ton of coal for the town house and did some grocery shopping.

The only remaining bathroom demo is to get the tub out of the house. Planning to use it and another one for raised bed gardening.

Tomorrow and Friday will be filled with fish fry.

Best get to sleep

Prayers for those in need
