Evening folks!

Raining here. Had a tornado warning for our area tonight but did not materialize this time.

Good day for the Mrs. Thanks again for the positive thoughts!

Hello there,

should be sleeping but wide awake.

Roy....glad to hear the Mrs is doing better.

Kev...OUCH! Glad it wasn't any worse. Many years ago a friend lost a leg because of a botched colonoscopy. A misdiagnosed perforated bowel caused sepsis.

Buckeye. ....sounds like you've got the wiring under control.

Haven't been doing much this week. Dealing with an abscessed tooth. During my 2nd visit to the dentist she surprised me by recommending I get it pulled. No  $$$$ root canal. Comes out on the 18th. Meanwhile antibiotics, Tylenol and soft food.

Picked up the Tahoe from Ammco. Could have saved some  $$ elsewhere but I've got a nationwide warranty.

After  $1,400 in parts reassembly has started on the Massey Ferguson. Gonna take some time. After the rear end is back together it needs split to replace the hydraulic pump then put the top back on.

Best try to sleep.

Prayers for those in need

Morning all.  It is cloudy and 64 degrees.  Real windy.  Rain tonight.  Hope all OK from the messy storms.

Glad to hear Mrs. Roy doing well.

Banks, a lot of mechanical work your way.  May change thermostat in 97 pickup.  Slow opening at first.  Don't want it to stick on me.

Later.

Afternoon folks!

Short sleeves yesterday and snowing here this morning...gotta love nawth Texess!

SJ - burning wood in the big brick lined hole in the living room - Mrs is happy.

Mrs continues to improve and we are confident we are past the critical first days home where post-surgery issues can crop up. Fingers crossed!

Banks - ouch on that tooth - miserable pain...hope you get it fixed soon!

Kev - glad the throat issue did not go any further the wrong way!

Regards, Roy

Banks I hear ya, They started pumping me full of antibiotics by the IV the second I hit the ER and did not stop till I left the hospital. And I lost count of the blood draws they did.

News sounds good Roy for your wife. Yes Angel

Well so far the big storm has been a wash. They called for 2" to 4" of rain last night and we did not 1.4". Now they have backed way down on the snow for us this afternoon and tonight to less than 2". We will see. Think I won't pull the plow off the Rusty Ranger just yet. Wink

Kev glad all is well. Roy glad your wife is on the mend and that you found a use for that hole in the wall.

Banks good luck with the tooth.  If it doesn't show let em pull it.

I don't know how much but that 800 miles of rain passed right over us. Yep it rained and rained but not too heavy most of the time. Tonight's temp will go down to 20 so lot's of freezing. No rain at the moment, 37 degrees.

S.J.

Update official was 1.9 inches of rain but up to 4 in some areas. Tonights forecast is rain, freezing rain and snow. low of 27.

Good evening all,

Quiet day Friday.  Watched Bluebloods.  Did 6 miles Saturday at 3.75 MPH.  Really exhausted afterwards.  Lots of rain.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Mornin' boys.  Breezy and 52 in Wild,Wonderful,WV.  Saw Suzie-Q's birdies laid a big egg against Tennessee.  Me?  Didn't care.  Stopped watching NFL in 2017.  My season starts in 4 weeks at Daytona.  Wifey wanted to take drive up to Deep Creek yesterday, to enjoy the 71 degree weather.  Took princess to our favorite ice cream parlour in McHenry, and watched people tube down the slopes across the way.  Steaks on the grill when we returned home.

Did a little landscaping around Pawpaw tunnel in the train room, and tried to get a couple decent pics for SPF.  Need to find a second hand tripod.

Sir James - I'm glad the weather is getting back to normal in MI.

Morning/afternoon all!

Sunny and some clouds. Might hit 50's today. Did not crack 40 yesterday.

Being the primary here as the Mrs heals. My meals are not as good as hers, but not bad either. We have to keep them simple anyway since her diet is pretty restricted.

The Bullit mustang sold recently for $3.74M. Amazing the owner of 45 years was able to keep it under wraps for so many years until a few years ago. He paid $3500 for it.

Regards, Roy

69 and partly cloudy.  Went to Church.  After that mistake.  Sook Wifey and SisterIL to lunch.  They wanted to go in a store after that.  Sat in car.  Over an hour later, went in and reminded them how long.  10 minutes later they came out.  Then wanted to stop by a furnitue store.  That lasted 15 minutes.  Got home 30 minutes ago.  Not happy.

Storm, no damge and only a little rain.  Actually , no storm.

Hello there,

record temperatures here Friday and Saturday.  Mrs and I got outside Christmas down and some put away. Inside will stay a couple of weeks. It went kinda slow due to thumping jaw. Littlest granddaughters "helped" us a couple of hours yesterday while son worked on the tractor.

The antibiotics must be working, eating almost normal today using lots of Tylenol. The tooth comes out Wednesday.

Still warm the 1st part of the week. Finish storing Christmas and maybe split a little wood.

Later.

Prayers for those in need

Good evening all,

Got sump pump out.  Water will rise again over night.  Yard is saturated.  Did some creative stuff with Legos today.  That was about it for the day.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Mornin' boys.  Mild and foggy along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  I need a haircut.  Need to get to dry cleaners.  Need to work a bit at the office and yard.

Youngest Princess back at college.

Morning all.  Rainy and extra warm.  Better than ice.

Nothing much on agenda.

Banks, use to love to work on tractors.  I did change thermostat in 97 Silverado Saturday.  Cost $20 with anitfreeze [which only used a little].  Repair facility wanted $130 with my discount.  Crazy.  Got to go pickup spark plugs for tractor.  Have points and condensor.  Do that this week.

Have a good one.

Happy Monday......

Had Friday night dinner with Mom and spent the night there.

Saturday, made breakfast for Jenni and then was off to do other things, Mom did find the title for Dad's car so, Jenni may have a buyer for that.
Saturday afternoon, Mom came over and we got the tree down, took a break while my Princess had made dinner and we had a nice time.  Mom left about 8,
Jenni and I got the tree undecorated and I got it out the door and in the backyard by 930 PM.  My Princess vacuum and got all the needles up and the living room was back to normal.

Next phase is to get the bins in the basement and the Polar Express box back in the attic.

Did not sleep especially well Saturday into Sunday, got up late, did get the attic almost completed and got some things moved off the table.  I did install the Fastrack Crossing Gates on the inner loop.  You can now walk in the attic which is better than it was last week.  Expect more progress this weekend.

Sunday night started laundry while we went to Jenni's car club post Christmas Party which was a really great time.  We were home by 945 and in bed my 1130, as I needed to complete the laundry.

Mom is doing ok, I'll be back at the house the rest of the week, I have a meeting tonight and nothing the rest of the week, I'll be working.....tomorrow, after my doctor's appointment, I'll be working from home.  Jenni's going back to her parents home in Manahawkin for the week.

Prayers for Granny Pat, Brutus, Roy's Mrs. and Banks.

Hello there,

started to post last night but crashed.

Divebardave........Welcome!!!!

Tooth almost normal. Yesterday store outdoor Christmas in the garage, made a run to the Massey Ferguson dealer for two seals we decided to change and split two billets from the trunk of the last ash tree.

They were about 40 inches across. I was wupped by the time we finished, Mrs ran the hydraulic lever on the tractor. Mass, a 9AM appointment and tractor work on today's itinerary.

Best move on.

Morning folks from foggy nawth Texess (or is it me?). May hit 60's today.

Mrs is doing great. One week in, 6 weeks to fully healed. Off the pain meds yesterday. So far so good, some light withdrawal effects. Thanks again for all the positive vibes!

Been working on an ERR conversion to a ROW NYC 0-4-0 that I picked up at York many years ago. Adding the mini-commander and sound card. As they say - 10 lbs into a 5 lb bag...this is only possible as it has an enclosed cab. Got it all working yesterday. Still have lights to add.

Fife - our son heads back to college next week. He still lives at home Sigh

DBDave - welcome!

Happy Tuesday...

Got done with my appointment and was home and at work by 840 this morning.  I have another appointment on Thursday early again.
A TON of issues already plus got locked out of my admin screen.  Finally got that figured out and back at it.

Cloudy and 50% chance of rain, and snowmageddon predicted for Saturday, but that's ok, I'll be at dinner that night.

DiveBarDave - Sounds like you're in the same "business" as I am....Volunteer Fire/Rescue, and full moon nights are a dreaded part of the biz.....welcome to the Pot!!

Drill on Thursday then off to the weekend.

Welcom divebardave... Welcome

Good afternoon guys and I do mean good!!

Well tomorrow will be 6 weeks to the day post op for Sandra. Today we went and saw the doctor and he cut her loose. Just two more PTs and it is over!! Amazing that she is almost back to normal from a total hip replacement in just 6 weeks. We are both glad it has gone so well and feel blessed that she has been spared the pain she had been in the last year and a half. And best is I can put her back to work again.  Devil  Smile, Wink & Grin

Good evening all,

Work went better than expected.  Weather was colder than expected and I did not dress warm enough for my walk at noon.  Been cold the rest of the day.  Watched Ken Jennings win the Jeopardy prime time contest.  Pretty exciting matches.  I hope every one has a good day.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 45 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  A pretty nice day, so much so that I wheeled the Paradise outside.  Normaly, "Benji" would have been placed downstairs between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but that just shows how up and down temps have been.  Temps are supposed to dive through next week, so my bar area will have a more tropical look by Monday.

Things have slowed way down at the railroad, as to be expected.  No progress to report as well.

Glad Sandra and Mrs. Roy are on the mend. Grey and cold - typical Chicago winter weather. I started my day by forgetting my wallet and mobile at home and had to leave the train station to go get it. Now it feels like I'll be catching up the rest of the day. Ah well. I enjoy reading your project posts, Roy!

Hey Happy Wednesday Afternoon from the South Jersey Command.....

Sun is out and is mild at 47F right now.

Got done at 530, just in time for Jenni to stop by and we had dinner with Mom.  We talked a bit and I wound up in bed by 10.  Jenni made it back to Manahawkin by 11.

Still looking at 1-3 on Saturday.

Pretty sure I'm sleeping in on Saturday then packing and working in the train attic.  Should make it home by 2 PM Sunday for laundry and clean up.
Making moves to get a queen bed to Mom's and removing 1 bed from my room and moving the 2nd one, which is a full to the other room.

That will make room in my 3 season porch as I have 2 queens in there now and the frame is in my closet at my house.  Seeing as Jenni and I will be splitting out time
between the 2 houses, it just makes sense we do this.  It will also mean a massive clean up of my room, which it desperately needs.

Not much else at this point.  Work is crazy, we closed half of out Mobile division and we are concentrating on markets where we are making money.  My job is safe, like many others in the remote/in shop/in Home sector.

Back to work, more snoozy videos to watch, zzzzzzzzz
