Is this for a pair of reverse loops, one on a lower level, one at an upper elevation? There is a simple way to do this as long as the train is short enough to never be on both switches at the same time.

I have purchased and installed a number of K-Line 072 Switches. The problem with roller drop thru the switch has been solved with the addition of a small piece of sghped wood to extend rollers past the end of the frog. I would like to have my switches operate elecrically with Lionel 072 switches. I now must wire these devils together. Note:I have taken the K-line controller apart and find a resistor and diode in there? What I want to do is use an insulated outside rail to set a switch coming up my mountain to Left. This should be a simple short, just like the insulated rail which causes a regular Lionel or K-LIne (Lionel) switch to throw just like rail built into the non-derailing feature if the switch. . This then sends the train coming up in the right direction. The return down from the mountain should also work? I am plannning to have another sensor rail throw a switch at the at the bottom to the right into a pasing siding.
In my head this seems like it will work. I plan on some testing shortly. Does anyone have an experience using this type of automatic operation, or no-no's for using the K-line Lionel with regular Lionel 072 seitches?
