Good Evening from overcast 39°F Southern Ohio,

I was nice but breezy today.  I slept well, from 7:45 am to 2 pm.  Got up and messed around the yard some before coming to work.  I was able to catch an inning of Gabriel’s baseball game.  A real advantage when the field is right next door.  Hopefully over the weekend be able to take care of more brush piles.  They are calling for drizzle and rain possibly snow on Saturday, so a fire would feel good.

Dennis – Happy Birthday

Good Night and may God bless

Jim

Mornin' Fellas

Last Saturday I decided to try and get the massive leaf piles that built up around the West and North sides of the house foundation. We got everything pulled or blown out and went to start the John Deere to mulch and clear them into the woods, only to find that the battery was dead. Put it on the charger and it got to 50% and then drained to 25%. Ordered a new one from Advance Auto (order went to CarQuest) only to find out they are both only open till 3pm on Saturday (WHY????), well I haven't been able to get to the store to pick it up and we had high winds on Wednesday. Well Mother Nature was kind enough to blow the piles on the West side back against the house, but the massive pile along the North side was 80% gone yesterday morning. So now it is raining and we may get some white stuff... I love trees, but dang they are a pain Fall through Spring!

Brent be glad you don't have any magnolia trees as they drop leaves 12 months a year.

Morning all. Donna has Physical therapy this am and Speech theapy this afternoon ( training for swallowing liquids ) because of the stroke she had back the end of February. she is home and doing a lot better but has a ways to go. It basically just attaacked her left arm and leg so she was lucky.

I'm getting a few minutes to relax right now. ( I charish them ) As I have had to pick up the load for everything plus tending to Donna. ( not complaining, just the facts. ( she would do the same if it was me instead ) Donna calling talk ot you all later

Good evening all,

Very quiet day at work.  You know, you read stuff on the web and you just shake your head.  One person does something incredibly stupid and a whole group wants to form a boycott just to promote their set of opinions.  I do not want to get more specific or the post might be deleted.  Sometimes......I just do not know....  TK is starting 9th for AJ tomorrow night ("Matt" is 16th).  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy and 37 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Couldn't keep my eyes open to finish watching the O's-Yanks game.  Slept good, after not sleeping at all the night before.  Just 2 trains this weekend.

Banks - I hope to be in York.  Sent my form in.

Raining and 55 degrees.  Turning colder when front comes through.  Freezing temp [or close to it] tonight for a short period.

Have a good one.

Hello there,

fryed eggs, toast sausage and scrapple  for breakfast.

Winter won't let go. Dusting of snow over night, mid 20s with a stiff breeze this AM. Posed to get near 40 today.

Got lots o outside stuff needs done but it's always raining or snowing. Hope it warms up for York.

Got my new TCA card and York badges in the mail yesterday. Looking forward to shaking all your hands.

Between doc appointments and viewings this week the only thing I got done was filed the Federal income tax. Still need to do State and local. Maybe today .

Grandaughters soccer game canceled today due to mud and cold. Twirling competition tomorrow.

Best get on with the day.

Prayers for those in need

33.................but bright sun

A sad morning in the Detroit area train world. Victor, a club member and one of the biggest railfans ever passed away overnight from complications of heart surgery. He has also held national office with LOTS and LCCA.

SJ - prayers for Victors family, sorry about your friend Angel

1 pm and it is still 35. So much drizzle at Texas Speedway - NASCAR - they have had to cancel/shorten practices/qualifying - and they are having to dry the track once again. At best low 40's for high today, down from 50's.

Good morning all, I will be flying back to Va./NC. tomorrow morning to see my terminally ill sister and brother.  It's a race against time for my sister.  She could go at any hour.  She is comfortable and is ready to meet her Lord so I'm not worried.  My oldest son is going with me to make the trip easier for me.  He will do all the driving.  Will post a message when I get back unless I have access to a computer.

Belated happy birthday to Dennis.Happy B-Day

Good evening all,

Busy day today.  Lots of stuff going on.  Listened to Indy car race on the web tonight.  TK got an 8th for AJ tonight.  Not great but not bad.  "Matt" had pit issues and was 19th.  Weather was sunny but cold.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning All,

Looks to be another great "Spring" day...... around 30. Sad

Not too much on the go this weekend. The Mrs. and I went out to Cracker Barrel for breakfast yesterday. Picked up the latest Model Railroader special issue. Hung out at the BIL's yesterday and watched the Masters, some baseball and hockey. That was quite the tragedy with that junior hockey team in Saskatchewan. Prayers to the families.

Ray - Safe travels. I hope you can make it in time.

Dennis - Happy Belated Birthday!

Have a good one and prayers.

Rob

I refuse to go to Walmart or Farm & Fleet on the weekends but if you get in very early you can miss a lot of the nut jobs. Laugh

Morning all. A little on the cool side here this am.

Not a lot planned for today.

I got a large assortment of parts for the prewar crane in yesterday that I hope to build two maybe three cranes out of, and try and sell some of the other parts to try to get my original investment back.

Continue prayers for Victor

Donna is coming along well. She's starting to do things on her own, that she can handle.

Hope all Have a good day

Good evening all,

Weather ok today, could be bad tonight.  May stay home Monday as there is nothing to do.  Haas F-1 team got a 5th today in Bahrain.  Christina's future teammates got a 6-2 win over Mexico in that all American sport.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Evening all, busy day as we had our BELATED family Easter dinner at the son & DIL’s House today due to a schedule conflict on Easter Sunday.  I’ve been reading all of the bad news since the April “coffee pot” got started and will keep everyone in my prayers, I’ve got a list which is to long to type out here.

Count Jean and I in for breakfast at Cracker Barrel on Friday morning of York.  It’s getting late and we’ve got an early up tomorrow morning so I’ll say goodnight.
