Happy Easter gang!

Survived some of the Bush light. To tell you the truth, Hudson John is the only person I know who drinks Bud. Nobody drinks it around here. It's the rice! Somebody must like it, it is the # 2 selling brand in the US only behind Bud Light. My beer did not make the list.  Beer

I used to drink Milwaukee's Best Light so I can drink most anything.  Laugh

Easter at daughter's in-laws at 1:30.

60 out there and rained most of the night but clearing up nicely now.

Got to 78 in the house yesterday so I tested out the AC unit.  Yes

Enjoy you day!

Evenin' boys.  Hope all of you jellybeings had a nice Easter.  Fifemom gave me a scare this afternoon, as she had trouble breathing, and Dad called an ambo.  Some O2 and she felt better.  Wifey made a wonderful ham dinner, and I wound up running a couple plates of food up to my folks, so that was my day.

New fifedom has a yellow jacket issue, which I tried zapping this morning.  If that didn't work, will call in the pros.

Took Wifey to Morgantown for her birthday yesterday, and she was treated to Outback steak, then Starbuck's hot chocolate.  Ok, I gleened over the details a bit.  Whilest at the former, I had 3 lovely pints of Foster's (Australyun for beeyah).  JJ was driving, so I was relegated to position 4.  While in the drivethru at Starbuck's, I kept asking to see the dollar menu.  Youngest princess couldn't breath from laughing, Wifey was trying not to lose bladder discipline, and our driver was sliding down under the steering column.  And of course the barista dude had those big gauge thingies in his ears, and the annebriate in position 4 wasn't gonna let that go...  What is it with young folks and nav systems, that keeps them from looking up and seeing the big blue 68 EAST sign, even when the 10-55 subject in the back seat is chiming in.  We saw Cheat Lake 3x, and WVU campus twice.  I was quiet the rest of the way.  Ok, almost.

PirateGood times.

Got the last of the trains moved in from the garage ( ones I was trying to sell) so my closet, Over head closet, and cabinet is stuffed. And I have a set of Lionel ft's B&O engines coming in. Never been run. TMCC. And York is about 10 days away lol.

I have a shed coming in tomorrow that is 10' x 16' that I been needing so I can get the car into the garage where it belongs.

Evening,

Long day, but a good one. Cloudy with only a couple of peeps of the sun. 80 so very pleasant.

Kids joined us for 11am church which was nice.

The local family came over at 1:30 and we had a combination cookout and traditional Easter ham with all the trimmings. The nieces and nephew hit the pool (72 Yeow!) and the hot tub (94 to keep them from turning blue). A rousing croquet game made sure we worked off the meal!

Fife - still chuckling over your post.

Banks - good news re your mom!

Anj - congrats on the stripes!

Regards, Roy

Aloha. Looks like nice Easters were held. We hosted for the family this year so my weekend was spent fixing things, moving things and going to the Wal-mart for grocery items that were forgotten or needed. I got the last quart of milk in the place early Sunday morning and the last two boxes of corn muffin mix on Sat. night.

Great story, Fife. Glad FifeMom is OK. This time of year, I enjoy Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy. Used to be made in Wisconsin. I think MillerCoors owns them now...

Sun and 60s today, still nice even though we just had a couple of Hi 70s. Easter was our little family day, It's always good to have the kids home now and then. Our ground is still soaked from rains and trying to decide how to do first mow before next week is a problem. More rain expected this week. Me and the riding mower are heavy enough that it will leave grooves in the lawn. Decisions, decisions.

Mornin' Fellas

Easter was a blast yesterday. Kids got a nice haul from EB and Christina offered to share her Reeses eggs. Thumbs Up Not going to make it to York on Friday Sad as vacation time has been locked down at work through May. Are there any plans for dinner on Thursday? TheQ is teaching, so I may be able to load the kiddos up and meet somewhere? I could be there @ 6:30pm?

Evening all!

Been raining all day. It was not supposed to but we will take!

Brent - for me it is a bit too early to know about Thursday night. Too bad about Friday. Saturday? Recall York Dealer Halls and Black Hall (Layouts) are open until 4 pm and open to the public this Spring.

Happy B-Day to Mrs. Fife!

Hi Guys,

I did not do much today, removed one section of the elevated line and then I added rail and road bed and will let it dry overnight then put it back on and take off another section tomorrow.

If I can keep up with one section a day I should be done in a week or two.

Smile

Have a good night!

You guys going to York, Enjoy, I am spending my cash on this project for now. Wink

Good evening all,

Busy day at work.  Got my tax issues resolved and will get state refund Thursday.  Pain two was gone today and should have been quiet day, but some idiot wrote a stupid e-mail that stirred the remaining troops up.  Glad I won't be there tomorrow when pain two shows up and adds her two cents worth.  4+ years to retirement, Ugh!  On the plus side, I do have my "teammate" for this summer.   So tired tonight I watched "Call the Midwife" on PBS.  Folks, that is TIRED!   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Evening All !

Still doing well out here, as a matter of fact sent Chris off on a "Recon Trip" to the DEEP SOUTH, (he's gone to Ft. Bragg, NC).  Told him I was going to York this year via Roseyville, so he insisted on doing some recon to make sure it was safe.  From what I've heard the local mountys in the area can be worrisome, so Chris is checking it out.  I thought IF I got an escort to York by the Chief, I should do OK.  But, just in case, might possibly need to hook-up with Roy and friends along there route.  So we shall see.

Glad to see everyone had a great Easter, we did the usual, with the usual people and it was great.  Looing forward to see everyone at the show.

Ended up moving a whole bunch of fossils that Chris and Kay picked up in Tucson, our family room looks like a museum.  Complete with LOTS of fossils, gems, rocks, and books.  Glad he didn't decide to be a vetenarian instead of a geologist.

Need to go and start working on my "want list" for York.

So you all be safe and stay healthy!

Morning all!

Sunny! 60's and cooler temps - then low 80's rest of week.

SJ - don't forget your socks - and one pair can make the week! Day 1 - start. Day 2 - turn them inside out/ Day 3 - swap feet. Day 4 - turn inside out again! Repeat... might make the month?

Don - you got my number - the code word is GRITS...

Evenin' boys.  Sunny & 73 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Just finished a game of frisbee with FifeMax.  No matter how far I throw it down the mountainside, he keeps bringing it back.  Border collies.

Working on passenger car 880 "Frostburg" this week.  New metal on low sides, sanding, and new paint soon.  Yours truly has spent past day-and-ahalf first pounding out the slag-boogers from the cut ends, then primering the back sides of 160' of 10 gauge steel.

Good evening all,

Got blood tested this AM.  So glad I did not try to get to work as it took an hour to get everything processed.   Transplanted several cedar starts today.  Will see if they survive.  Kept some where they were are now as backups if the ones moved do not make it.  Got my starting position for the Mini and ordered tickets for the Indy GP.   Got to see 80 car Honda train of empties pull through town.  Izombie is on tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning all!

Cloudy and partly sunny today. 80 on tap.

May have hit the point of no return on the older car, 2002 MDX. Took it in for tires and it started raining "issues". 15 yrs and 120k+ miles. Just don't make em like they used to...there went my York budget...looking at certified pre-owned cars.

Mornin' fellas

Any word on dinner tomorrow night? If so either email me or give me a call if you have my number.

I'm not sure about Saturday. Christina has a soccer game at 10:20 so I woudn't be able to make till 1pm, and with only a few hours not sure I would be worth it. Will probably stay home and do something with the kids... maybe take them to a movie after Christina's game?

Fife - need to schedule a visit, and trip on the WMSRR... I know we are busy most weekends through mid-June due to soccer games, and have vacation scheduled July 8 - 15. Will shoot you an email.
