Tough "nut".  I have a newer model.  I believe [without going to the Train Box building out back] it has "strings" that move it up and down.  Maybe someone can post better answer until I go out and see.

Intermodal Crane Question . . . .
Posted by Bob Baker on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 9:59 PM

Good Evening,

I just picked up a Lionel Mi-Jack Intermodal crane from 1989.  When I first started working with it this evening, it went down but not up.  Now it will go neither up or down, though the motor works at it.  What do you suppose came loose from the pulley system and how should I go about fixing it?  Thanks!
