What Rob says.  Sheesh.

Get a new service station.  Seriously.

I'd bet that the reverse unit - 107-100 electronic e-unit(replaces 103-100)is all it needs.  $15 at The Train Tender.

HI,  It is in the bi-directional position.  This engine never did run right in one direction.  I took it to a Lionel Service Station and there response was that it was out of warranty and would need to go back to the factory and the repair cost would be more than the value of the engine.

Which position is the direction control switch in(bottom of engine)?

Hi folks,  I have an 8837 that has always ran slower in one direction than the other.  This year I fired it up (it is a Xmas train) and it runs great in one direction but nothing in the other.  Any ideas?
