Yeah? Why is that? Different people read both forums & different answers show up in both. Some useful & some not, like yours.
The wheel gauge is not kept to close tolerances on our trains with non-scale wheels. A caliper such as this is sufficient to get our wheels in the range to operate on our non-scale track. For scale trains with scale wheels, this gauge is used. The track gauge is here.
