CA knows what you should have learned by now: Living is a condition that ends in death. You've been warned.
ChiefEagles rtraincollector Firelock76 Unless you're planning on eating it, and God only knows why anyone would, I wouldn't worry about it. Use it and have fun! You haven't met the chief If you are anybody, you will want to meet the Chief. I'm in CA now. Understand why warning. Everything in CA and the people should be condemned.

I really would recommend that you not meet the Chief, especially after he has eaten a section of RMT track.

Oh, THAT Chief!
I was wondering, I mean there's Perry (Don't call me "Chief!") White, the "Superchief", I even knew a Native American in the Marines everyone called "Chief." Wasn't sure which Chief we were talking about.

Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
I have heard about those tracks. There should have been a notice with the tracks that said " Handle only while wearing a painter's mask and rubber gloves".
Enjoy your train running.
Buckeye Riveter I can't speak for California, but here in Buckeyeland if you eat a piece of toy train track you normally end up in the operating room. Email RMT if you want to know. I doubt that anyone on the forum has done any chemical tests on this product. If they have RUN FORREST, RUN!!!!!! BTW, I haven't eaten any track for several years.

The all-knowing State of California has determined everything can kill you. The trick is, at least for electronics, is not to run circuit boards through your blender, mix them with ice cream and milk, and drink them.
Many years ago, I read that scientists put a dime in the abdomen of a rat....and it got cancer. So, even money will give you cancer.
I just got some new track from RMT. It still has the K-Line name molded into the underside of the ties, so it is the same product that the late K-Line company sold.
However there was a label on the box that said " WARNING: This product contains chemicals which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm"
No where is there any hint of what these chemicals might be, the quantity in which they are found, or any other information. I sure didn't see any warning on the RMT/ARISTO web site where I ordered the track.
So, does anyone know what this is all about?
