Your engines not getting a signal from the command base. Reread your instruction manual and check the engine again to make sure IT IS TMCC equipped.

have you tried reprograming the engine?
Without telling us what all you have and how you have it wired up were at a lost.
1 make sure its the correct adptor for the tmcc as one that doesn't have a ground prong won't work
2 double check your bateries in the remote ( this wouldn't do that as with no signal you would get noting.)
3 make double sure engine switch is in run not program
4. do you have a powermaster as they look a lot like a command but have 2 wire prongs instead of 1 ( just wondering if you grabed the wrong one) and if its bad it will give straight 19 volts to the track.
Just a few things to check
,recently purchased a lionel diesel fm, and a auction, looks like it has never been run, when I try to program it
it just keeps running at full speed, I just recently set up tmcc after not using it for many years, I have tried just
about everything I can think of, I do get 19v to the track but looks like i'm not getting the signal. thanks
