That's a good idea, Bob, thanks! I'll add a link to the intro post.

Bob, I seem to remember that there was once an easy-to-find link to the forum policies, perhaps at the top of the list of forum topics.  But I just spent quite a while finding the policies again.  The link is now at the lower right corner of the page in fine print and is called "Terms of Use".  I suggest that it should be in a more prominent place (perhaps in Ms. Posh's permanent post), to give new posters a chance to read the rules.

Here is the relevant section:

  • No advertising and no use of company names as screen names. Our forums should not be used as an advertising medium for companies who want to promote their business or products, or by individuals who want to promote their items for sale or auction. Our users are the drivers behind this policy. They don't want the useful information in our forums watered down with posts that are nothing more than advertisements

You need a hosting site like Shutterfly or Photobucket (they're free). I can't even post photos from here.

I wanted to add a photo but I don't have a 'hosting site',  just my own computer. Can I ost a photo from here?

Thanks again,

My apologies Bob,   was not aware of this policy.

I do want to sell it however and would ask how might I do that on the Forum please?

Do we have a 'For Sale' board here like the one at ORG? I looked and didn't see one, hence my comments in my post.

I've posted it there (OGR) but 90% of their viewers are operators more interested in modern items.

I'll go back and edit my original post.

Thanks,

Sam

You are not allowed to sell on the forum, and you mention you bought this and want to sell it ...

I'd definitely be interested in it, I'll give you my email off to the side under "Messages". I hope I'm not breaking any rules here lol

American Flyer passenger set No 4300

We came across this nice 1940 Flyer passenger set yesterday at a local Goodwill. It appears to be original and was in a box piled atop a bunch of track and two transformers.

Cleaned it up ast night and she looks pretty good - nice letters and numbers, some paint chipped off as is expected fr a find like this but color still good, all 4 doors slide and in place as are the windows.

Would love to keep it but have no room. Will probably offer it for sale or trade for newer 3 rail O scale.

Am new here and can't figure how to post the photos?
